...and gave it a 9.5!

BlazBlue is one of my first games, and I'm amazed by how well it was made. I espected a great experience, since it was made by Arc System Works, creators of the legendary Guilty Gear series, and I wasn't dissapointed. BlazBlue is an excellent game, and it's tough to name the #1 best part of it. You could go with it's fast-paced fighting system reminiscent of good ol' GG, it's colorful cast of characters, over-the-top fighting styles, or excellent storyline that can be played through any characters' perspective. The special moves and combos are really cool, and despite the relatively small cast of characters, it's a fun game that never grows old. There are a lot of fighting games out there with impossible final bosses and huge character rosters that can make it hard for some people to find their best fighter, so BlazBlue is the perfect starting point for newcomers home to the genre. -Dan

Concept 9.5: The creators of Guilty Gear create the best fighting game series on new-gen systems.

Graphics 9: The hand-drawn graphics are very good-looking, and no time was wasted on the attacks looking cool.

Sound 9.5: The rock music in the game is worthy of the genre, and the opening theme for the game is excellent.

Playability 9.5: Very fast, very exciting combat. Just find your favorite character and start dealing out some heavy damage.

Entertainment 9.5: Don't expect any boredom from this game.

Replay Value 9.5: You'll want to play this game for hours after you've beaten the story mode.
